The Church was designed by Ivan Starov and built between 1776 and 1790. It was designed in the style of Baroque and Neoclassical architecture. The Church is named after Alexander Nevsky, a medieval Russian prince and national hero who fought for the unity of the Russian people during the 13th century. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Belarus.
