Speightstown Seventh-day Adventist Church was established in Barbados on Easter Monday, April 2nd, 1951. The local Speightstown Church was formed with sixteen members transferred from nearby churches in St. Philip and St. John. In its early years, the church was served by one Adventist minister, George Riley, who served as minister until his retirement in 1958. Following his retirement, a new pastor, Keith Smith, was appointed to serve as the church's pastor.
