Belmont Methodist Church in Barbados is a church with a long history dating back to the early 1800s. It is located in the parish of St. Philip, Barbados. The church is one of the oldest Methodist churches in the island and is part of the Barbados District of the Methodist Church of the Caribbean and Americas.

History:
Belmont Methodist Church was established on the slave estate of the same name by Joseph Foster in the year 1814. Foster was a planter from Britain and was actively involved in the Methodist movement. By 1824 the building of the existing structure commenced on land which had been donated by Thomas Abbott, also a planter. The building was finished by 1826 and one year later it was consecrated by Bishop Sparks. The church is built in the Georgian style and is considered a great example of this style of architecture in the Caribbean. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Barbados.
