The mosque was the official court mosque of the royal family during their brief rule of Natore. The mosque is a three-domed structure with a prayer hall and a deep verandah in front. The stone pillars and arches are intricately carved and the dome is supported by pillars of the same intricate design. The interior is adorned with stucco and ceramic tiles. The Natore Rajbari Mosque is a late 18th-century Mughal-influenced brick structure located in Natore, Bangladesh.The surviving Mughal era mosque of the Natore Rajbari was built by the local Zamindar (a term used for wealthy landowners during the British Raj) Chaitanya Chandra Roy princely state during 1793-94. The mosque stands on a high plinth, and is composed of a single large, rectangular main prayer hall, and is built in the typical Mughal Style of architecture. It is the largest of the surviving Mughal era mosques in Bangladesh. The roof of the main prayer hall has four domes, which are along each side of it, topped with finials. The prayer hall is framed with five symmetrical arcade arches topped with perforated stone jalis that are decorated with intricate foliage designs. The walls are also encircled with pierced stone screens to allow light and ventilations. The main prayer hall has three mihrabs, forming a tri-lobed interior. Adjacent to the main prayer hall is a verandah, which has three closed entrances. The corners of the prayer hall are adorned with four ornate turrets, which add to the mosques' decoration. The mosque is surrounded by a small pond on one side, and a charbagh garden on the other side. The Natore Rajbari mosque is a beautiful example of Mughal architecture, with its ornately carved stone jalis and turrets, making it one of the most iconic and well preserved mosques in Bangladesh.
