The Bhaluka Jame Mosque is a historic mosque located in the town of Bhaluka in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Built during the 18th century, it is one of the oldest surviving mosques in the region and is an important place of Islamic worship. Architecture The Bhaluka Jame Mosque is a single storey, rectangular shaped mosque built in traditional Mughal architectural style. It is constructed of brick and is topped by a single dome. The walls of the mosque are adorned with intricate terracotta floral motifs, and the interior is lined with brick arches. At the centre of the western wall lies the entrance, which is framed by six arches leading up to the mihrab, or prayer niche. The courtyard of the mosque is surrounded by a veranda with four additional arches. The mosque also has a minaret located in the northwest corner. This minaret is cylindrical in shape and consists of a square base with multiple recessed corners. It stands three storeys high and is topped by a spire, which provides a spectacular view of the surrounding town. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
