The mosque is rectangular in shape and built in the Mughal-Saracenic style of architecture. The main entrance is in the eastern wall and has an Iwan-e-Khas or a special seat on either side of the entrance. The mosque is a two-storey structure and fifteen domes adorn the roof. Each dome has a huge cupola formed in the shape of a lotus flower. Five mihrabs or prayer niches have been crafted on the central wall of the mosque. The interior of the mosque is gorgeously decorated with geometric designs. Rich carvings on the sandstone pillars and intricately carved corbels are the special features of the mosque.
