Worship Method:

Pura Dalem Sari Merta is located in Glagah hamlet, in the village of Ababi, in the Tejakula sub-district of Bali, Indonesia. This temple is an example of the classic Balinese architecture of the Bali Aga or traditional Balinese Hindu temples. The temple follows the Tri Mandala concept of Balinese temple layout, where the temple is divided into three sections: the outer courtyard (known as the Nistaning Mandala), the middle courtyard (known as the Madya Mandala) and the innermost courtyard (known as the Utama Mandala). The worship method practiced at Pura Dalem Sari Merta involves different practices and rituals for each mandala. In the Nistaning Mandala, worship methods include the Pemarisadi ritual. This ritual involves offerings being made to the gods of nature, to thank them for their blessings and ask for long life. After the offerings are made, prayers are said to the gods. In the Madya Mandala, worship methods include the Manjapuji ritual, or daily prayer ceremony. During this ceremony, prayers are said to the gods of the temple, asking for protection and well-being. Offerings of flowers, fruit, and incense are made. After the prayers are complete, a chant is recited and the offerings are distributed amongst those present. Finally, in the Utama Mandala, the most important rooms and shrines are found here. This is where the main ceremonies and offerings take place. People come here to make offerings to the gods and ask for blessings and protection. Offerings are made in the form of flowers, rice, fruits, incense, and water. In addition, ceremonies involving sacrificing animals or sacrificial remains are also carried out in some special occasions. After the offerings are made, the priests then bless the people.
