Puja combines elements of chanting, prayer, offerings, and meditation. The temple is structured in such a way that each day has its own ritual for worship. These daily rituals take place at two specific times: the first in the morning between 5:30 and 7 am, and then again in the afternoon between 5:30 and 6:30 pm. For morning puja, worshippers will start their Puja by first praying to the holy trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. They will chant mantras and offer traditional offerings such as flowers, coconuts, and incense to the gods while they are in a meditative state. At afternoon puja, worshippers will again pray to the holy trinity and then make offerings and chant mantras to the sun god, Surya. After the puja, offerings of traditional Balinese dishes like banana leaf-wrapped coconut rice cakes or bowls of fruit mixed with ghee and spices are given to the gods as a gesture of gratitude for their presence and blessings.
