The Talysh Mosque is a beautiful, historical mosque located in the town of Lerik in the south-east of Azerbaijan. The mosque was built in the 15th century and is a fine example of Islamic architecture. The mosque is made up of two courtyards and contains many traditional elements such as mehrabs and inscriptions. The main prayer hall has a beautiful stepped façade decorated with ceramic tiling. The mosque has a large central dome which is surrounded by small domes and is further decorated with ribbed arches and Islamic motifs. The mosque also features two minarets and a high portal. Inside the prayer hall, there are two rows of four carved mehrabs and an impressive chandelier which is said to date back to the 16th century.
