World Council of Churches Armenia Round Table Foundation In Armenia: History,Facts, & Services
The World Council of Churches Armenia Round Table Foundation (WCCARTF) was established in 2003 to promote religious freedom and facilitate a better understanding between the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Armenian Catholic Church, and other communities of faith. The WCCARTF works to promote religious tolerance and understanding, as well as to support humanitarian, cultural, and social initiatives that benefit all Armenians. The WCCARTF serves as a bridge-builder between Armenia's religious communities and its surrounding countries. The foundation has supported various projects that bring together different denominations for the purpose of reconciliation and interfaith dialogue. It also works to protect historical and cultural heritage that celebrate diversity and a shared respect for human rights. The foundation's key activities include conferences and seminars that bring together government officials, religious leaders, and activists to discuss important issues. The WCCARTF also organizes visits to different churches and provides financial support for church restoration projects. Additionally, the foundation works to promote opportunities for youth and women in Armenia. Finally, the WCCARTF works to raise awareness about pressing social issues such as human trafficking, extremism, and other threats to communal peace and security.
