Chiki Vank is an ancient Armenian monastery located near the village of Vayots Dzor, southern Armenia. Built in the early 10th century by King Smbat II the Builder, the monastery is one of the oldest and most well-preserved Christian monasteries in the Armenian Highland. It is thought to have been built as a monastery-fortress and today it is still an active monastery, housing several dozen monks.
