In December 1985, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to begin the process of constructing a temple in Córdoba, Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, due to the political climate at the time, the construction was postponed. In 2003, the First Presidency announced that the process of constructing the temple was again underway and that it was to be known as the Córdoba Argentina Temple. Groundbreaking ceremonies for the temple took place on April 30, 2014 and construction was completed in 2018. The temple was dedicated on June 10, 2018 by Elder Henry B.
