History:

St. Paraskevi's Orthodox Church was founded in 1948 by the Rev. Nicholas M. Verzellos, a Greek American priest from Boston, Massachusetts. Fr. Verzellos and a small group of Greek Orthodox immigrants from the Greek Isles of Crete, Santorini, and Rhodes decided to build an Orthodox chapel in the basement of the YMCA building on North 7th Street in Easton, Pennsylvania. The church was named after St. Paraskevi, a 3rd century martyr and healer whose name is recognizable to Greek-orthodox Christians all over the world. St. Paraskevi's Orthodox Church This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Albania.

St. Paraskevi's Orthodox Church is a parish of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOA) and is under the jurisdiction of the Metropolis of Boston. Recently, the parish celebrated its 70th anniversary and installed a new altar in 2019.
