It’s really good news for those who have been waiting for New Zealand to get open. According to reports, New Zealand is prepared to resume welcoming foreign visitors despite getting 52538 COVID cases in the past week. The country is in its final phase of borders and has started accepting visa applications from international visitors. However, the return of international visitors will start soon depending on the lifting of COVID-based travel restrictions.

New Zealand is a great place to experience adventure tourism with natural beauty, and diverse landscapes ranging from lush rainforests, snow-capped mountains, active volcanoes, golden beaches, turquoise lakes, and much more. According to recent reports by the New Zealand government, the country is in its initial stage of welcoming visitors from around the globe after the pandemic. International tourists can now visit New Zealand as the country has lifted all the Covid-19 restrictions.

In reference to the recent news, New Zealand Tourism Chief Executive, Rene de Monchy is predicting to see a rise in the economy and tourism. He anticipates seeing more tourists in the country after the removal of the covid-19 restriction. He continued by stating that Tourism New Zealand is making every effort to promote travel from key markets in order to increase the country’s tourism and support its economy. However, the return of international tourism will take some time as people around the world regain confidence in traveling.

According to reports, USD 25.7 million in tourist spending helped the nation’s finances during the 12 months leading up to March 2020, before COVID-19 struck. Tourism officials are hopeful that the allure of New Zealand’s picturesque scenery will once again draw tourists to the country. During the same time, tourism was able to directly contribute to New Zealand’s gross domestic product (GDP). The education industry is also anticipated to revert to its pre-pandemic levels.

In reference to the educational sector, Principal Steven Hargreaves added that they wished they could have accepted applications months ago so students could have started returning now. He added that if they wanted to retake this important sector, they would have to make significant catch-up.
