Tingo María National Park, also known as the Puinahua-Tingo María National Park, is a protected National Park in Peru, located on the eastern slope of the Central Andes between the provinces of Leoncio Prado and Tingo María in the Huanuco Region. It has a total area of approximately 77,400 hectares (190,000 acres). The park is the largest conservation area in the Upper Huallaga Valley, covering a unique mixture of cloud forests, humid montane, and dry tropical forests, as well as the source of several major rivers. The park was declared a protected area in 1975, with the mission of conserving the biodiversity of the area and protecting its natural beauty.
