The main building in the temple is the pagoda, which stands in the center of a large square courtyard surrounded by ancient trees. Worshippers come to the pagoda to make offerings, pray, and enjoy traditional ceremonies. During important festivals, the temple holds a variety of ceremonies, such as praying to the gods, burning incense, and lighting lanterns. Outsiders may also be invited to watch the ceremonies. To make an offering, worshippers prepare incense sticks, flowers, fruits, and paper money in advance. They then kneel before the pagoda, meditate, and offer their gifts. They express their wishes and pray to the gods for good luck and fortune. After offering their gifts, worshippers will write prayers onto white paper, tie it to a string and hang it on the railing around the pagoda. These prayers will serve as testimonies of their faith. At the end of their visit, worshippers may donate money to the temple to support its operation and receive a red stamp and a special blessing from the temple's monks.
