started in 1959 when a small group of devotees of Hindu faith got together and started conducting regular religious services in one of the classrooms at Ithaca College. This was followed by renting a vacant shed for conducting poojas and to conduct regular activities. In 1977, the Society established its first temple at 78, Durack Street in Wooloongabba and this became a very popular temple for all types of activities of the devotees.
