St James Cathedral is a historic Anglican church located in Sydney, Australia. It was built between 1819 and 1824 and is the oldest surviving church in Australia. The building has a mix of Gothic Revival, Georgian and Baroque influences and is built in the Perpendicular style of English Gothic architecture. It is the seat of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney and is home to a variety of services and activities.

St James' Cathedral was originally named St James' Church and was the first Anglican parish church in Australia. It was founded by Samuel Marsden in 1819, and the first service was held here on the 11th of December 1819. Following the official separation of the Church of England from the Church of Rome, St James' eventually became the Cathedral of the Diocese of Australia in 1842. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Mauritius.
