Worship Method:

In the Shri Mahamariamman Kovil temple in Mahébourg, Mauritius, worship is conducted as follows: Worship begins with an offering to Lord Ganesha. Ganesha is revered as the god of beginnings, and offering to Ganesha is believed to bring the worshipper good luck. His image is worshipped first. When worshipping the Lord, flowers are placed on the altar and incense is offered. The worshipper then pays homage to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, the divine couple.
