Templo de Nuestra Sra. de Guadalupe is a historic Catholic church in Mexico City. Built in the late 18th century, it is one of the city’s oldest surviving monuments, having been built in the Baroque architectural style. It is located in the Plaza de la Santa Veracruz, just outside of Mexico City’s historical center. The church contains the sculpture, Our Lady of Guadalupe, an iconic image of the Virgin Mary, and thus serves as an important pilgrimage site for Mexicans, who consider it sacred.
