is a Mosque built in 1285. This mosque is located in Bab al-Nasr in Cairo, Egypt. It was commissioned by the Emir Ali al-Mirdani during the Mamluk era. The mosque was renovated several times starting with an extensive restoration project undertaken by Amir Ahmad al-Mirdani. The mosque, which was originally built in a traditional style of Mamluk architecture, now features a largely modernised design and can accommodate up to 300 worshippers. It is widely known for its beautiful turquoise and white marble façade and its unique two-dimensional mihrab. It is one of the most famous mosque in Egypt which you must visit.

The Mosque of Al-Sayyid Ali al-Mirdani in Cairo is a historic Islamic structure in the city’s historic Islamic district of Darb al-Ahmar. The mosque was built during the reign of Sultan Al-Nasir Muhammad Ibn Qalawun (1294-1341). The mosque is notable for its traditional Fatimid architecture, which is still evident in the mosque's minaret, arches, and courtyard. The first two stories of the mosque are constructed of stone, while brick is used for the upper stories. The four pointed arches of the mosque create a beautiful and architecturally unique shape. The central minaret of the mosque is adorned with four metallic finials and is noted for its beautiful ceramic tiles. In addition, the dome of the mosque is covered in a traditional Islamic design, using colorful and intricate shapes and motifs. The interior of the mosque features a series of columns connected by transverse arches, and small niches in the walls. The courtyard of the mosque has an ornamental fountain and several smaller porticoes. The mosque also has a library and a mausoleum, which houses a tomb of one of the Al-Mirdani family members.
