The Mastaba of Ti is an ancient Egyptian funerary complex located at the Saqqara necropolis, in Lower Egypt. The complex is believed to have been built around 2450 BCE, during the reign of Pharaoh Djoser, and was likely the first major step pyramid in Egypt. It was erected for the chancellor Ti, a high-ranking government official in the court of King Djoser. The pyramid complex consists of a main pyramid-shaped mastaba (an ancient Egyptian mud-brick tomb), an attached chapel, and two subsidiary structures. The main mastaba itself is nearly square in shape and measures approximately 62 by 59 meters. It has several compartments, and the entrance is on the northern side, leading to a stairwell that descends into the center of the pyramid.
