Mastaba of Mereruka in Saqqara is a 5th Dynasty ancient Egyptian tomb located in Saqqara, Egypt, near the Step Pyramid of Djoser. The tomb was built for Mereruka, the vizier and high priest of the king, in the year 2360 BCE. It is one of the largest and most complex tombs in the necropolis of Saqqara. It has more than thirty rooms and chambers and its interior walls are decorated with beautiful hieroglyphs, paintings and reliefs depicting events in Mereruka’s life and career. The tomb also houses colorful statues of the Tomb Owner (Mereruka) and his family members.
