How to reach:

Kuon-ji is located in Japan's mountainous Kita-Kamakura region, about 20km south of Tokyo. The easiest way to reach Kuon-ji from Tokyo is by train. From Central Tokyo, take the JR Yokosuka Line to Kita-Kamakura Station. From there, take the Enoden (local train) to Jomyo-ji Station, and transfer to the bus bound for the Asaina stop. It is just a short walk from the stop to the monastery. Alternatively, you can take the Shonan Monorail from Shinjuku Station to Ofuna Station. From Ofuna station, take the Enoden train to Jomyo-ji Station, then transfer to the bus bound for Asaina.
