Worship Method:

The ritual worship at Kan'ei-ji Temple, located in the Ueno area of Tokyo, consists of chanting Buddhist sutras, offering of water and incense, and prayer. On the first day of each month, special ceremonies are held in order to express gratitude for the temple's many blessings. Participants in these ceremonies will pray for world peace, harmony, and the health and happiness of all people. The main ritual of Kan'ei-ji Temple is the Daikokutai, a ceremony believed to have been conducted by the military ruler Nitta Yoshisada during the Edo Period. Kan'ei-ji is located in Tokyo, Japan. The easiest way to reach Kan'ei-ji is by train. The closest train station is Ueno Station, located about 5 minutes away. From Ueno Station, visitors can take the Hibiya line to Nezu station, where they can transfer to either the Toei Oedo or Chiyoda Line and get off at Nezu, the nearest station to Kan'ei-ji.
