History:
The Arkhangelsk Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve in Russia was established in 1970, but its history goes back much further. The museum was founded on the site of an ancient Sergiev Posad, which was a fortress and trading post. It was established by Novgorod merchants in the 12th century.
