History:

Walt Disney World Resort in Florida opened on October 1, 1971, as the world's largest Disney theme park. The resort was developed by the Walt Disney Company on the 27,000 acres (11,000 hectares) of swampland near Orlando, Florida that Walt Disney bought in 1965. Disney had plans for a theme park as early as the 1950s, but construction did not begin until 1967. The first park constructed was the Magic Kingdom, which was inspired by Disneyland in California. It contained six themed "lands," each themed around one of Disney's classic films or stories, including Main Street USA, Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Liberty Square, and Tomorrowland. At the time of its opening, Walt Disney World Resort also featured an airport, two golf courses, three hotels, and an artificial lake. The World later added a cruise ship port, a water park, four more golf courses, and several more theme parks, including the Epcot Center in 1982, Disney's Hollywood Studios in 1989, and Disney's Animal Kingdom in 1998. Today, the Walt Disney World Resort is made up of four theme parks, two water parks, 27 themed hotels, numerous shopping and entertainment venues, and features seasonal events and parades. It is the world's most visited vacation resort, drawing nearly 58 million visitors each year. You must visit one of these historical places in USA on your USA tour
