History:
Huaca El Rosal, also known as the Huaca of the Pyramids, is an ancient archaeological site near Chiclayo, in the Lambayeque region of northern Peru. It is believed to have been built by the Moche culture, a pre-Inca civilization that flourished in Peru between 100 and 700 CE. The site consists of eight large pyramids spread out over approximately 9 hectares. The largest pyramid is over 40 metres high and is the tallest Moche structure known in the region. It has two plazas, one on the lower level and one on the upper level, and it is surrounded by a wide range of different monuments, including other smaller pyramids.
