History:

The Church of Christ at Grissom in Peru is a congregation of Christians established in 1957. The Christian faith was brought to Peru by missionaries from the United States in the early 1900’s. In 1957, several members of the Church of Christ from Frankfort, KY, decided to relocate to Peru and began the Church of Christ at Grissom. The Church of Christ at Grissom seeks to bring people together to serve and glorify God through worship, fellowship, Bible study, mission work, and service to the community. Each year the congregation holds a week-long Vacation Bible School, conducts several mission trips to other countries, and serves the local community through its outreach programs. The Church of Christ at Grissom also affiliates with the Churches of Christ International Missions. This worldwide partnership brings members from different backgrounds together to teach, spread, and grow in the Christian faith.
