Community of Christ - The Auditorium is a historic and landmark building located in Independence, Missouri. It is primarily owned and operated by the Community of Christ (formerly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). Construction of the auditorium began in 1902 and was completed in 1917. The auditorium has been used for a variety of activities throughout its history and currently serves as the administrative headquarters of the Community of Christ and hosts numerous events ranging from conferences and religious services to theatrical productions and concerts. It is one of the best churches in USA which you must visit.

History:

The idea for constructing the Auditorium came from church President, Joseph Smith III, who wanted a multi-purpose building to serve not only as a house of worship, but also as a gathering place for special events and education. The Auditorium was built in 1905 with stone from the site of nearby temple destroyed in 1864. The building was constructed with the help of many local residents who contributed their labor and resources and it was completed in five years. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in USA.

The Auditorium is one of the largest structures in Independence and the area's first "skyscraper". It is 200 feet tall with auditorium seating capacity of approximately 2,400, a deck, a chapel, and a dome. It is also the oldest religious structure in Independence, having served as a gathering place for members of the Community of Christ since it was built.

The Auditorium serves as the worship center and headquarters of the Community of Christ and it is used for numerous activities including conferences, sporting events, concerts, theatrical productions, and religious services. The building is open to the public for viewing and contains a museum, gift shop, and auditorium with a large auditorium stage. The Auditorium also provides guided tours to visitors.This beautiful church in USA has made a lot of significance in the past.
