First Church of the Open Bible is a church of the International Churches of Christ that is located in Norwalk, California. The Church began in 1943 when a group of Christian believers met in an open Bible home Bible study under the leadership of Joe Connolly. Over the years, First Church of the Open Bible has served many of the churches and ministries of the International Churches of Christ. The church focuses on service, evangelism, discipleship and teaching with the goal of being a beacon of hope in Southern California and around the world. History:

At the time the church began, the International Churches of Christ was a loosely organized group of churches and small home Bible studies scattered across the country. Joe Connolly was a dedicated reader of the Bible and committed to living for God. He and his wife, Esther Connolly, started preaching the gospel and soon had a group of dedicated followers in the Norwalk, California area. After a few years, they had grown enough to organize as the First Church of the Open Bible. First Church of the Open Bible This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in USA.
