History:

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi is an Emirati-themed waterpark with a range of world-class rides, attractions, and slides. Located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the waterpark opened its doors in January 2013 and has quickly become one of the most popular attractions in the region. In 2010, the building of Yas Waterworld began under the expert guidance of Alan Dickson, the Executive Design Consultant for the project. With his 30 years of experience in theme-park creation, Dickson was tasked to transform the concept of a traditional waterpark into a multiple experience destination, and his vision for the waterpark included the introduction of the uniquely Emirati concept of ‘Adventure and UAE Heritage'. The park features 43 rides and attractions, including the Bandit Bomber, the Halatail, Dawwama, and Bubble's Barrel, the world's first water ride of its kind. In addition to these, there are multiple slides and pools, including a Wave Pool, Flow Riding, and Slip Stream. The park also offers a range of interactive play areas for children.
