Worship Method:
Wat Khung Taphao is a traditional Buddhist temple located in the Sankamphaeng District of Thailand. The temple practices various forms of Buddhist worship, including meditation, chanting, and study of Buddhist sutras. During the morning and evening hours, the temple holds formal ceremonies called ‘Sam Duen’ where monks line up in order and chant Pali scripts from the Tipitaka. The Buddha image is then chanted before offerings are made to the main temple altar. Throughout the day, devotees can offer merit and practice making merit in their own right. In Buddhism, merit-making is said to be a way of giving back to the Buddhist temple and of attaining personal spiritual benefit. Devotees are encouraged to attend meditation retreats and special Dharma days or courses onsite at the temple.
