Wat Kanmatuyaram is located in the centre of Ayutthaya, an old capital of Thailand. The temple is situated about 86 km (54 miles) north of Bangkok. Visitors can reach the temple by car, bus or train. By Car: The temple is easily accessible by car. From Bangkok, take Highway 1 (Pahonyotin Road) or Highway 32 (Bang Pa-in Road) to Ayutthaya. Turn right onto Highway 309, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Road, before entering the city. Then, turn right at the Rama VI Monument intersection and follow the road until you come to a bridge leading to Wat Kanmatuyaram. By Bus: From Bangkok, take the air-conditioned bus no. 825 from the Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit) for Ayutthaya. The trip takes about 1 - 1.5 hours and the fare is about 20 THB.
