1. The ancient Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Yadagirigutta is one of the five main Narasimha temples in India. 2. The temple is located on the picturesque hilltop in Yadagirigutta town, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Telangana. 3. The temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who protects his devotees from evil. 4. The temple is over 1500 years old and believed to have been built by the sage Sanaka Krishnanu and his four siblings. 5. The main idol of Lord Narasimha is in the form of Yoga Narasimha and is in the presence of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru and Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi. 6. Worship Method:
The worship method of Yadagirigutta Temple consists of several rituals and traditions such as traditional puja, archana, deepa puja, and offering of flowers and fruits to the deity. The daily morning puja begins with the opening of the temple's doors, followed by the bali (ritual offering) to the presiding deity, Lord SriLakshminarasimha Swamy. The offerings include flowers, fruits, and various other items that are related to the lord. Then, the traditional archana (chanting of the lord's name) is done by the priest. The worshiper provides a garland and some coins which are kept in the metal plate as a sign of blessings. After the archana, deepa puja (lighting of lamps) is done for the lord. The devotees also chant various hymns and mantras while performing the puja. After the puja, aarti (contextual prayer) of the presiding deity is performed in which the lord's name is chanted. The puja is concluded by offering prasadam to the Lord. After the morning pooja, the temple remains closed till afternoon. In the evening, the puja is conducted again in the same manner.
