The Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple located in Chilkur, Telangana is a devotional temple that is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Pilgrims that come to the temple follow a special worship method that includes 12 circuits around the main deity located inside the main temple complex. The devotees will first offer prayers and seek blessings from the presiding deity. Once the prayers are completed, they will begin the 12 circuit walk around the deity by taking handfuls of holy water and making their way around the temple. This process is repeated until the devotees have completed the 12 rounds. After the completion of the rounds, the devotees will chant devotional songs and offer their prayers.
