Worship Method:
The temple follows the daily puja ritual typical to all Vishnu temples. There is a traditional worship service performed five times a day. The morning service starts with the opening of the sacred door (called Raja Gopuram Naivedyam). During each service there is an offering of Panchamrta (a mixture of honey, curd rice, ghee, sugar and milk) and fruit to the Lord Sarangapani. Upon the completion of the Puja, cooked food is offered. Special pujas are held during festivals, special days and full moon days. During the Brahmottsavam (annual festival) in the month of Chithrai (Apr/May), the Lord is taken around the temple on a decorated Palanquin. The temple also observes many other festivals like Masi Magam, Pavitra Utsav, Mukkoti Ekadasi, Vaikunta Ekadasi, Vasantotsavam etc. The temple also holds monthly Shower Abhishekams on the last Sunday of every month. There are also day long special events like Laksharchana and Vaasthu Shanti. Devotees can partake in the kumkumarchana and sankalpa on Sundays and special days.
