St Paul’s Church, Balsall Heath is an Anglican church in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, England. The church is located on Linden Road, in the heart of Balsall Heath. It is one of the best churches in England which you must visit.

History:

The church was founded in 1841, by the Reverend E. Collins, who was rector of St Paul’s from 1840 to 1867. The church was initially located in a building on the High Street and served the community until it was destroyed by fire in 1870. The present church is believed to have been designed and built by Thomas Merrall in 1871 and is Grade II listed. Inside the church, there are features from the 19th century, including the pulpit, font and pews, as well as the pipe organ, which was purchased in 1902. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in England.

The east window of the church is a memorial to Reverend E. Collins. It was designed by Edward Burne-Jones and is known as the Resurrection Window. The church is part of the Birmingham Listed Buildings Trust and is listed on the English Heritage Register of Historic Buildings.
