Mastaba of Kagemni is a type of elaborate mastaba tomb located at Saqqara, Egypt. It was built during the Sixth Dynasty of Egypt (2345–2181 BCE) and is the burial place of Vizier Kagemni. Mastabas are large flat-roofed structures built from mud bricks, which can be found all over ancient Egypt and Nubia. The Mastaba of Kagemni was constructed in two phases. The first phase was a chapel with two false door stelae and two pillars, leading to a burial chamber and a serdab statue of Kagemni. The second phase included the addition of two halls and a long stairway. It is one of the best churches in Egypt which you must visit.

The Mastaba of Kagemni is thought to have been built at the end of the 6th Dynasty of Egypt, around 2198 BCE. It is one of the oldest surviving examples of a mastaba tomb and is considered to be the model of the type. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Egypt.
