Unione Militare Palace (Italian Palazzo dell'Unione Militare) is a historic palace in the center of Rome, Italy. It is located on the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, just off the Via del Corso, in the rione Colonna. Originally commissioned by Prince Ascanio IV Colonna, the palace was designed by the Roman architect Filippo Giovannini. The main façade is decorated with numerous statues, medallions, and busts, reflecting the building's connection with the military union Il Sodalizio dell'Unione Militare. The Italian inscription inscribed on the palace, “Alma Urbs Roma”, pays tribute to the great city of Rome. Over the years, the Unione Militare Palace has hosted salons and important meetings of the social elite of Rome. From 1750-1778, the palace was host to the studio of the celebrated etcher Giovanni Battista Piranesi. In recent years, the Unione Militare Palace has been the home of the Italy-America Society.
