Občianske združenie Calvary In Slovakia: History,Facts, & Services
Občianske združenie Calvary In Slovakia (OSCIS) is a non-profit, faith-based organisation from Slovakia that strives to help impoverished, homeless and abandoned individuals, families and children. Founded in 1998 through a shared need to reach out to those in need, it operates under the legal guidance of the Civil Association Act of the Slovak Republic. OSCIS focuses on providing a variety of services which range from housing and food provisions to vocational training, legal and medical aid and even spiritual counsel. The organisation also works extensively with church communities, in particular those in Slovakia, to promote awareness of social issues, such as poverty and hunger. Beyond this, OSCIS works to spread the message of faith and hope to those who struggle with poverty, social problems and persecution. OSCIS’ ultimate goal is to offer hope and inspiration to people of all faiths and socio-economic backgrounds and provide them with the tools to improve their circumstances.
