History:
The church was commissioned by the archbishop of Esztergom, Jozsef Radocsay, in 1857 and consecrated in 1866. During the Communist era in Czechoslovakia, the church was closed and used as a warehouse. It was renovated between 2003 and 2007 and opened again as a place of worship. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Slovakia.
