The Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, more commonly known as the Church of the Merciful Brothers, is a Catholic church located in Spisske Podhradie, Slovakia. It was built in the 16th century by the Order of the Merciful Brothers, a charitable religious order founded by the Order of Friars Minor. The church is an example of Gothic architecture and features ornate Renaissance features as well. The interior of the church is decorated with frescoes depicting scenes from the life of St. Francis of Assisi, the founder of the Order. The church also houses various important artifacts, including the oldest existing bell in Slovakia and a 15th century statue of the Virgin Mary. The church is open to visitors throughout the year and hosts various events, such as concerts and lectures.
