The church features two vaulted aisles, an entrance hall, and a central tower. Its wooden structure is highlighted by shingles, lime-wood and nails, while the roof is covered with straw. The church is still a place of religious services and continues to provide a place of worship for the local community. It has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2008.
