Brown Memorial United Methodist Church In Sierra-Leone is a church located in Freetown, the capital of Sierra-Leone. It is one of the oldest churches in the city. It was founded in 1810 by the British Wesleyan Missions as a Methodist MeetingHouse. The church was officially dedicated in 1817 by Thomas Rankin and named in honour of Dr. Thomas Brown from Scotland. It has a very rich history with many interesting stories, including stories about the struggle against colonialism and slavery.
