Partick Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) In Scotland: History,Facts, & Services

Partick Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) In Scotland is an independent Evangelical Presbyterian denomination located mainly in Scotland. It is a sister church of the Free Church of Scotland, which separated from the Church of Scotland in 1843. The church adheres to conservative Reformed theology, placing a strong emphasis on preaching and teaching the word of God. It is committed to the doctrines of the Westminster Confession of Faith and the maintenance of Presbyterian Church government. The church was formed in 1900 when a number of Free Church ministers and congregations refused to join the reunited Free Church and formed the Free Church (Continuing). Since then the church has grown and now has a presence all over Scotland with congregations located in major cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee. The church provides its members with means of worship, biblical teaching, pastoral care and outreach.
