Kirk of Calder In Scotland: History,Facts, & Services
History:
The first Minister of the Parish Church of Kirk of Calder was the Rev. Alexander Malcolm, ist of Wallhouse, who was appointed in 1808 and inducted in 1810. Following a fire that destroyed the original building in 1848, the church was reopened in 1849 with the Rev. John B Hill as Minister. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.

The church building has two levels, with the upper level used for worship and the lower one for Sunday School and youth activities. The church has a seating capacity of approx. 345 people. The building also features a pipe organ which was installed in 1855.

Kirk of Calder offers regular worship services on Sundays and midweek services throughout the year. There are also a number of regular activities and events for the local community ranging from coffee mornings to Sunday school.This beautiful church in Scotland has made a lot of significance in the past.
