Corstorphine Community Church In Scotland: History,Facts, & Services
History:
The Church was initially established in 1894 as a daughter Church of St John's Church in Corstorphine. For several decades, the Church was variously known as Corstorphine Free Church, Corstorphine Corstorphine Mission, Corstorphine Gospel Hall, and Corstorphine Gospel Mission. In 1969, a group of 65 members from Corstorphine Gospel Mission officially established the Church as Corstorphine Community Church with Rev. Alex MacGregor as its initial minister. Since then, the Church has experienced many changes and additions, including the construction of a new, larger building in 1994 and the establishment of a leadership team in 2011. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.
