The first minister at Church of Scotland Elgin High was the Reverend Dr. William Murray, appointed in 1845. He was succeeded by a number of ministers, including the current minister the Rev. Kathryn Lendrum. The church is also served by a local mission minister, the Rev. Chris Kontou. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.
