The mosque is named after Mansur ibn Abdel Aziz, the seventh king of Saudi Arabia and father of the current king, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The mosque has a total area of 10,000 square meters and can accommodate over 12,000 worshippers at any one time. It features two large inner courtyards, two minarets, four domes, and an expansive prayer hall with plenty of space for worshippers. In line with Jeddah’s cultural heritage, the mosque is decorated with Islamic calligraphy, frescoes, and intricate geometric designs.
